Since 2006, Boutwell Contracting & Development has been dedicated to setting the bar in the North Central Florida construction industry for quality building and professional service.
Company co-owners and brothers Jason and Garett Boutwell have long ties to the local construction industry, having grown up under the direction and leadership of their father and grandfather, both longtime Ocala site and utility contractors. This experience helped them learn not only how to build great structures, but more importantly, how to build long lasting client relationships.
Today, the Boutwell team continues to build their company’s credentials by way of communication, quality and service. They aspire to inspire, seeking always to leave their projects BuiltWell.

Jason Boutwell is a lifetime Marion County Resident. He grew up in the Construction Industry under the direction of his father and grandfather. Jason graduated from FSU where he majored in B.S. Marketing. Shortly thereafter, Jason went back to his roots and obtained a General Contractor’s license founding the company Boutwell Contracting & Development. Naturally, the construction industry peaked Jason’s interest in real estate leading him to obtain his license in Real Estate as well.
Jason’s approach to customer satisfaction is driven by five core values: Communication, Quality, Service, Teamwork and Honesty. He strives to achieve the best possible outcome for each client’s unique situation.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and three children. He is very active in all of their educational and extra-curricular activities. Jason has just begun a new journey in the cattle industry and looks forward to seeing where it takes him.
Garett Boutwell, General Contractor for Boutwell Contracting & Development was born and raised in Marion County, FL. Garett is a 3rd generation Boutwell to continue the family career as a construction industry professional. Garett graduated with a BA in Construction Management. Garett’s love for building is unmatchable and can easily be seen shining through his cheery personality. He has recently begun to design 3D residential & commercial construction plans which have already saved many customers time and money.
When Garett isn’t on the job, he can be found spending time with his family. He and his beautiful wife have 3 children which he absolutely adores. He coaches soccer and flag football. Garett enjoys learning new things and expressing his creativity through playing piano and designing software applications.
